Arrived in Amsterdam after a crowded flight from LAX. Sat next to a doctor who was called away, totally movie style. "Is there a doctor on board?" Thought for a few minutes we'd be diverted, but weren't. I just had to endure the upscale service he received for the remainder of the 10.5 hr flight. I ate my lukewarm meal with bendable utensils as he rec'd his white cloth first class meal w/ the extra sturdy plastic. He thought he was something special- whatever.
Once in Holland, we stayed up all day- fighting jetlag, took a train into the city, ate at a cute pasta place, back to our hotel and went to bed around 4pm Europe time. Slept sporadically throughout he night, but surprisingly we both feel pretty good today.
Met up w the Kili team just before boarding our flight. All seem super great. On the 8.5 hour flight to Africa- wow! I mean it now when I say, " Next stop, Africa!"

Woo hoo! Keep writing, love the updates.
